I hate grocery shopping. Hate it. It takes precious time out of my schedule that I could be dancing! I clip coupons, but usually forget about them until after they expire. I try to shop around to get the best price, but I never feel like I'm getting a good deal and what about the gas to drive around?! Ugh.
Hello Thrive Market.
Thrive Market is an online shopping site that offers discounted rates on organic and natural products. You pay a yearly membership to get those wholesale prices, but with the discounts you generally make back your member fee in just a few orders. Thrive also gives back! For every membership, Thrive gives a family in need a free membership (veterans, etc.).
Even cooler, you can sign up for a FREE 30 day trial before you decide to sign up for a membership!
I signed up about one year ago and I love it! I use to love going to the local natural/organic shops, but they are always so expensive and it's a bit of a drive from my house. Now I can shop in my PJ's and wait for my Thrive order to show up on my doorstep! Oh what a glamorous life. ;)
Let's take a look at my most recent order. I buy a lot of my bulk items from Thrive, items like rice/etc. Notice the two boxes of Couscous below:
There are some times splurges. Like those Pop-tarts! At least they are organic? lol
The two bags of Gin-Gins were both a splurge and part of a Mother's Day gift.
I also like to pick up some simple Tasty Bite meals for those late/quick dinner nights. They come in handy. P.S., they go great with those boxes of Near East Cous Cous.
We're also trying a new supplement, Tumeric! I've been reading a lot of success stories for folks with joint pain. My husband, Eric, has a standing, running up and down stairs, lifting large kegs/etc. type of job. We shall see if it helps with those aches and pains.
Last but not least, Farro! Trying out some new grains. Tasty.
I've never had a bad experience when I shop with Thrive. In the past I have purchased other items like almond butter (yum!), Amy's organic soups and beans, coconut oil, witch hazel toner (cheaper than Amazon!) and more. My membership is up later this month, but I'm planning on paying for another year. Our cat Sookie also enjoys the boxes every now and then.
