"Wellness Within", is a mini retreat being held at the Zennergy Studios space on January 13th. There will be yoga, meditation, journaling, dancing and camaraderie. We'll eat too! ;)
Wellness Within. What does that mean?!
Possibly the "buzz-i-est" of the buzz words going around the web right now. However, it really is needed more than ever!
As we grow-up we learn to be nice to others and take care of our friends/pets/family/etc. While, yes I do believe these things are important; what about being nice and taking care of yourself?
First off, You can say "No" to take care of yourself first. Don't go to that party if you are feeling run down from the week. Don't accept that invite to the baby shower/wedding/etc. that you don't want to go to. Do what is best for you!
I like to write from personal experience; my current location on this journey called LIFE.
That being said, today, a few hours after this post goes live I will be teaching a Yoga & Essential Oils workshop inspired by the new DoTerra Yoga Collection oil blend "Anchor".
Though I love dressing up as a pirate, I will admit I have never dropped an anchor aboard a ship. Nor do I know if the anchor has other uses besides stabilizing a boat/ship/etc.
So I visualize an anchor being similar to the roots of a tree. Rooting down and grounding a ship on rough seas to find balance.
There is this magical place where tribal fusion belly dancers and drummers meet by a lake for smores--even gluten free & vegan!--to dance with poi, fire or just to the beat of a drum.
I was lucky enough to spend an entire weekend at Super Fun Dance Camp near Cold Spring, NY this past weekend. This was the second year of SFDC, but is a bit behind it's cousin NEATS (North East American Tribal Style) Camp which has been going on for four years now. MiMi of Manhattan Tribal and Carmine are our camp counselors with Lake Surprise Camp as the destination to be at. Oh my, isn't it beautiful.
