We're deep into the month dedicated to gratitude! I'm sure you'll be seeing (if you haven't already) people posting things they are thankful for ALL over social media.
While I do appreciate all that I have to be thankful for, this year I'm spinning the idea a little. Let's take a moment to send gratitude to those things, events, unique gifts that really truly make you who you are!
We spend a lot of time being what I like to call "Outward" focused on the things and people we are grateful for. Family. Pets. Jobs. etc. I'm not saying you shouldn't send some gratitude to these people/things-Please do!!
I am, however, suggesting we send some love to ourselves.
No, I'm not saying "I love me because I'm better than everyone else."
Drop that ego, quick!
I'm suggesting you dig deeper.
I am grateful for the events and experiences that made me stronger.
I am grateful for the experiences that shined light on new ideas and helped me grow.
I am grateful for the ups and downs on my journey.
Those leaps of faith and the chances to fail. The moments on your journey that really define you.
Turning to that "Inward Focus".
Really learning, knowing, and understanding what it is that makes you... you!.
Those are things I am grateful for.
And of course all of my readers ;)

I like to write from personal experience; my current location on this journey called LIFE.
That being said, today, a few hours after this post goes live I will be teaching a Yoga & Essential Oils workshop inspired by the new DoTerra Yoga Collection oil blend "Anchor".
Though I love dressing up as a pirate, I will admit I have never dropped an anchor aboard a ship. Nor do I know if the anchor has other uses besides stabilizing a boat/ship/etc.
So I visualize an anchor being similar to the roots of a tree. Rooting down and grounding a ship on rough seas to find balance.
Before we begin, I just want to send out a bit of gratitude to all of you that read my blog and interact with me on Facebook or in the comments!
A few of you have even been sharing my posts!!
THANK YOU!! <3
This week's topic of choice, Falling into the rhythm of Autumn. ;)
Let's start of with one of my favorite quotes....
The seasonal cycle has an affect on us. We are finally feeling those chilly fall mornings here in central New York. The leaves are moving beyond their peak coloration and starting to let go and fall to the earth below.
We live in a stressful world....
Working 40/50/or more hours a week, picking up kids/groceries/the car, taking care of the home/chores/bills, trying to fit in some exercise, relaxation AND self care. Did I mention hobbies that make you feel good and getting a nutritionally sound dinner on the table at a certain time?
I'm already stressed by those statements....
Take a deep breathe.
With so much going on it's often easy to forget the big important stuff.
Family. Your partner/spouse. Pets. You.
